Common gained recognition when he partnered with fellow Chicago native Kanye West to produce the Grammy nominated album, Be; followed by Grammy winning album Finding Forever. He has also released Grammy nominated Universal Mind Control and The Believer, The Dreamer. He released the highly anticipated Cruel Summer as a member of G.O.O.D. Music along with Kanye West, John Legend, Pusha T, Big Sean, 2 Chainz, and Kid Cudi. Common plans to release his first mixtape this April and his tenth solo album in September.

In addition to his New York Times Best Selling memoir, One Day It’ll All Make Sense, Common has also written multiple children's books. The Mirror and Me, NAACP Image Award nominated I Like You But I Love Me, and M.E. In 2000, Common launched his philanthropic effort, The Common Ground Foundation dedicated to the empowerment and development of disadvantaged youth in urban communities by mentoring the areas of character development, creative expression and healthy living.
In addition to his music, film and literary pursuits, Common has partnered with some of the largest consumer brands in the country: as the voice of Gatorade’s G Series Sports Drink, the face of Diesel’s men’s fragrance Only the Brave, and as a designer for Microsoft’s Softwear t-shirt line.
Whether inspiring audiences through music, movies, television, books or his foundation, every aspect of Common’s life journey—the people, faith and events—has shaped him into the award winning critically acclaimed conscious artist of today.
