UCI XIV Dalai Lama Endowed Scholarship

This unique scholarship supports exceptional UCI sophomores or juniors who want to design and launch ambitious “compassion-in-action” projects aimed at increasing awareness about ethics, compassionate leadership, local and global responsibility, and/or peace. Established through private donations in honor of His Holiness’ visit to UCI in 2004.

SAGE scholars

SAGE Scholars Program

Provides leadership training, career development and mentoring to high-achieving UCI sophomores and juniors from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. SAGE also offers opportunities to select scholars to obtain paid internships and scholarships.


Federal student loans are available to most students regardless of income and provide a range of repayment options including income-based repayment plans and loan forgiveness benefits, which other education loans are not required to provide.
