ACADEMIC HOLDS
FIRST training
All new UCI students (first year and transfer) are required to complete the two mandatory FIRST online training modules on https://first.uci.edu/.
- Click on the “Start Training” button to complete the training.
- The deadline to complete the training for Fall 2022 has passed. If you have an academic hold on your record, please complete both modules online. After completion, holds will automatically be removed within approximately 2 hours from completion of BOTH trainings.
- If you complete the trainings and after 2 hours the hold is still in place, please send an email to: SVSHAOD@uci.edu to resolve the issue.
The office of Vice Chancellor, Student Affairs staff do not remove holds for students for the FIRST training.
Other academic holds
For other academic holds, please contact the department that placed the hold. Sign in to StudentAccess to find out which department placed the hold.
Student Access is an online component of the Registrar’s Office that lets you view and manage your grades, transcripts, enrollment exceptions, and apply to graduate.

CAMPUS ID CARD
Problem with your campus ID card

The Campus Card Office will respond to all emails within one business day.
