Daily symptom check screening
now mandatory for UCI students

This message contains important information for all UCI students. Please read the following message in its entirety. Thank you.

August 24, 2020

Dear UCI Students:

The wellbeing of our students is UCI’s number one priority, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. UCI has made daily COVID-19 symptom check screening mandatory for students and employees, effective Monday, August 24, 2020.

This decision is based on Center for Disease Controls (CDC), State of California, County of Orange, University of California Office of the President (UCOP), and UCI directives, guidelines, and best practices. Mandatory daily symptom check screenings have been officially authorized by Chancellor Gillman in his Executive Directive dated August 24, 2020 entitled Daily Symptom Check.

Daily symptom check for UCI students

Over the next few weeks, students will begin to receive the Living Well Daily Symptom Tracker daily email and will be required to complete it on a daily basis, regardless of your plans to be on campus.

The Symptom Tracker is intended to remind students and employees to monitor their symptoms and those of anyone in their household in order to continue keeping UCI well and healthy.

The Living Well Daily Symptom Tracker application sends an email to all students on a daily basis. Students may choose, at their option, to respond using either the Now® Mobile application or as a reply to the daily email.

For instructions and information on the Living Well Daily Symptom Tracker, please visit:
Living Well Daily Symptom Check Application Instructions.

Students who do not comply with this directive may be subject to disciplinary action.
