Fall 2022 – Welcome & COVID-19 Return to Campus Testing

Dear Anteater Community,

Welcome to our newest Anteaters and greetings to returning UCI students! As you prepare to arrive on campus for fall quarter, I am writing to share information on our COVID-19 testing requirements for all students who are moving onto campus for the fall quarter, currently live on campus, or who commute to the campus.

General and detailed COVID-19 information is available at the UCI Forward website, accessible from the UCI homepage. We encourage you to familiarize yourself with this resource as it contains a wide range of information and the latest updates from campus offices on COVID-19 impacts.

As a summary, please take note of the following COVID-19 guidance:
  • Face coverings are recommended indoors regardless of vaccination status, but are currently not required.

  • Stay home if you are not feeling well and follow the UCI COVID-19 isolation and close contact guidelines if you test positive for COVID-19.

  • Wash your hands well and often. Carry hand sanitizer.
